Here is a link to the article about the pants lawsuit. Read it closely and see how this lawyer was "out of work" for threee years before being appointed as a judge. Umm. In my world out of work = unemployed. Why is an attorney who is not very old "out of work" and have little to no savings to pay for the ramifications of his selfish, irrational and well, dick-headed actions? I smell good old fashioned urban corruption...

Don't throw a loaded term like tort reform into this... Just because there are idiots who attempt to abuse the system does not mean the system is unworkable. Tulley's judge/pants guy lost his case and will be paying the dry cleaners' court fees, and I assume Bork's case will either be settled (for well under a million) or thrown out. These guys are idiots, enough said...

Nice find Rudo. This reminds me of another story I just saw in the news a couple of days ago, where a man, who was a lawyer and administrative law judge, tried to sue a drycleaning company (which I'm supposing to be a Mom and Pop type place) for $54 million, yes MILLION, dollars for losing a pair of his pants! If even lawyers and judges believe they can abuse the system what hope is there to have true tort reform in this country?
