Partisan Free Politics - are politics removed from the rhetorical talking points of our day. While noone has a monopoly on truth; we all breathe the same air, walk the same streets and are otherwise interconnected and effected by the same issues. This blog is aimed at finding more of that common ground and common sense that seem to be lost.

Is there a way to impeach bush or maybe even some sort of law to hold an emergency vote by the public?

Well the Constitution does provide for impeachment, but lately that only applies to BJs. Here’s a great source on the process of impeachment http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Impeachment If Bush were removed, Cheney would take over; if both were removed, Pelosi would take over - until the 2008 elections.

    Andrew,

What is it like to work for Project Vote Smart? It would be a great experience I am sure, but probably much more geared towards someone with less financial requirements. They state minimal salary - but do not really state what that is.

When I started working there I was making $15,000 a year - with a college degree. That’s about 7.50 an hour…. So I worked a second job in town and I lived in a tent for a few months, just to get by with my student loans and everything.

After the election they gave everyone a raise (I think it was 18K - can’t remember). Shortly after that I got my six month raise.

More importantly though, I always felt that it was worth it. The ideals of the org are worth it and Montana is the most beautiful place I have ever lived. My advice is to at least try it out, it’s a wonderful experience.

    Hey Andrew,
How do I go about posting? There is a news article I found I would like to post but when I went to write it the publish button wasn’t there. Since you know all things internet-y I thought I would ask you.
    Thanks,
    Tulley

Tulley! Howdy… Hey good post on the Sicko thing… glad to see other people write long posts that make good points… and one with statistics, how professional…

I also have to say this is the most confusing blogging I’ve ever done, which doesn’t say too much, but if you click on Site Admin, under Meta, and then click on write, you can make a post. My first one is almost finished, so look forward to it. I’ll look forward to yours.

I get to the place where I can type my post but for some reason there is no button that says “Publish”. There is the save button and the save and continue but no Publish. Do I need to download something or do some crazy computer voodoo to get this to work?
